The girls started container gardening this spring. They are growing green beans, tomatoes, strawberries, and mint. After having a watermelon one day, Jordan decided to plant her seeds to see if they would grow. They did - all 13 of them! We have learned quite a bit about how to grow watermelon, what the male and female flowers look like, and how to tell if the female flower has been pollenated. Currently we have 5 watermelons growing. The largest is nearly the size of a quarter. It's been fun watching them grow. Let's see if we'll actually enjoy the fruit in a few weeks.
