This is reportedly the most beautiful black sand beach in the world. It was pretty wild to see. We are so used to our sugar white sand, that seeing this black sand was cool (David learned, however, that the sand isn't so "cool" when walking on it with bare feet!) This is also called, "Turtle Beach". We did see at least a half dozen sea turtles. Seeing the volcano and the black sand beaches were two of the things that I have always wanted to see.
